Romano British Headstud Brooch. A bronze Headstud brooch with wire chain loop and collar, Celtic eye shaped decoration with central blue enamel on top of the bow and the catch-plate that extends three quarters the way up the body. 2nd Century AD. See Hattatt No 419 for similar. Lincolnshire. 46 mm long. Complete with working pin and chain loop. A very attractive item with a light green patina. One of the best examples I have seen of this type for a long time.
