Medieval Zoomorphic Mount. A small bronze die-stamped zoomorphic mount in the form of a lion's head with a single rivet hole at the centre. 14th-15th Century. UKDFD Ref. No. - 25099. Yorkshire. Length 16 mm, Width 11.5 mm. An unusual piece of which I can find no parallel, most probably manufactured as a leather decoration. A small but intriguing piece with a very attractive green patina.
