Some initials in red and blue inks. Chapters and chapter headings in red and blue ink. The text is from the book of Numbers: 1-3. France: Paris, c. 1220. 220 x 143 mm. Medieval Canon Law Treatise. By an English Scribe, c. 1510. Single leaf from a Renaissance Treatise on Canon Law, in Latin, on paper 145 x 106 mm approximately. The manuscript's predominately legal content and lack of illumination indicate it was probably written for use by a law student. Written in secretary-influenced chancery hand, 18-20 lines in brown ink. Calligraphic initial letters and rubrics are in red ink. Marginal guides to the scribe indicating which letters to colour are still visible on the leaf.

Medieval Bible Leaf. 13th Century French Medieval Bible Leaf 180 x 118 mm Original leaf from a Medieval manuscript pocket Bible. Latin gothic micro minuscule script, written in brown ink, on animal vellum. Rubricated initials, titles and marginalia in red and blue. Written in a fine gothic book hand. 10 lines per inch. Ezekiel Chapter 38 end to 40 part. Divine sorrow and punishment, Gods judgement, New kingdom of God the new temple.
