Anglo Saxon Strap-end. A copper alloy strap-end with a stylised animal head terminal. The body had three silver rivets (one missing) that would have held a decorative panel (most probably silver) in place. 8th-9th Century. Found near Oakham in the county of Rutland. 48 mm x 10 mm.
