Medieval Zoomorphic Mount. A small bronze die‑stamped zoomorphic mount in the form of a lion’s head with a single rivet hole at the centre. 14th–15th Century. UKDFD Ref. No. 25099. Yorkshire. Length 16 mm, Width 11.5 mm. An unusual piece for which no direct parallel can be found, most probably manufactured as a leather decoration. A small but intriguing piece with a very attractive green patina.
