Caracalla. 198–217 AD. Contemporary forgery. Struck copy of a silver denarius. Reverse: VICT PART MAX — Victory running left, holding wreath and palm. RSC 659a. 3.9g. 20mm. Struck in what appears to be normal quality silver of the period; probably as struck but from crude dies. Rare and unusual.
