Asia Minor

The bronze coinages of Pontos and Paphlagonia during the late Hellenistic period — especially under the influence of Mithradates VI — offer some of the most dramatic and expressive designs of the region. Athena, Ares, Perseus, Nike, and Zeus appear frequently, often paired with bold civic symbols. These coins circulated widely across the Black Sea world and remain highly collectable for their artistry and historical depth.
