Victorinus
268–270 AD
Victorinus ruled the breakaway Gallic Empire during one of the most unstable periods of the 3rd century. His coinage is known for its bold portrait style, varied PAX, SALVS, and VIRTVS reverses, and a mixture of official and barbarous imitative issues. The Trier mint produced many of his most recognisable types, often featuring distinctive field marks such as stars and letters. Despite his short reign, Victorinus remains a popular figure among collectors due to the diversity and accessibility of his surviving coinage.
