The Cyzicus mint was a major eastern workshop active throughout the Tetrarchic and Constantinian periods. Its issues are known for their distinctive style, clear SMK mintmarks, and strong output of PROVIDENTIAE AVGG and GLORIA EXERCITVS types. Cyzicus played an important role in supplying coinage to the eastern provinces and remains a key mint for collectors building a complete Constantinian series.
