Constantine I

The Londinium mint played a significant role during the early reign of Constantine I, producing distinctive folles that reflect both the final phase of the Tetrarchic system and Constantine’s consolidation of power in the western provinces. Its output is characterised by bold portraits, clear legends, and well‑executed reverses — particularly the SOLI INVICTO COMITI and BEATA TRANQVILLITAS types. Although the mint ceased operation in the mid‑320s, its Constantine issues remain an important and highly collectable series.
